Are you interested in new crops, marketing your arable business or finding out more about reduced tillage practices? FAR is currently considering a number of applications for Arable Growth Groups and some of these potential groups still have space for new members.
Arable Growth Groups (AGGs) are facilitated discussion groups funded through FAR’s recently launched Growers Leading Change (GLC) programme.
GLC National Coordinator, Erica Callaghan, says decisions about the first set of AGGs to be funded will be made shortly, and at this stage some of the potential groups can accommodate a few more growers.
“We’d particularly like to hear from growers in Northland, who are interested in arable diversity in their systems, growers in Manawatu who are keen to learn more about reduced tillage and any grower who has an arable based retail business, e.g. selling farm grown quinoa, hemp or flour, who would like to join a nationally based group looking at marketing and business growth.”
If you are interested in finding out more about any of the groups above contact Erica Callaghan at glc@far.org.nz Or, if you have an idea for establishing an AGG in your area, or check out the GLC page on the FAR website.
Growers Leading Change is led by FAR and co-funded by MPI’s Sustainable Food and Fibres Future Fund (SFFF).
