Associate Director

We are currently accepting applications for an Associate Director.

This is a development opportunity for a future leader to join the FAR Board and gain experience in governance, leadership, and strategy while contributing their own arable knowledge and experience at the Board table.

FAR has a skills-based board consisting of seven to ten members (including up to three appointed members) who are appointed by the Members' Council.

The FAR Board's skill set encompasses a blend of business and industry knowledge, along with experience in governance, strategy, finance, compliance, crop production, natural resources, environmental issues, people capability, interactions with central and regional governments, and communication.

The Board meets five times a year at the FAR main office in Templeton, Christchurch, or at regional sites.

Associate Director
The Board seeks candidates with expertise and experience in the arable sector who wish to enhance their governance and strategic planning skills. This is a non-voting role; however, the Board encourages full participation in meetings and welcomes constructive contributions from the Associate Director regarding the workings of the Board.

Applicants must obtain their employer's support (if not self-employed) before applying for this opportunity and will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

This is an 18-month unpaid role (travel and reasonable expenses will be reimbursed). The appointment will follow the position's advertisement and the selection process.

Application process
Applications for this position must include a cover letter and a CV.
