Registration is now open for the FAR Conference 2021.
FAR's 2021 conference, Responsible and Profitable…ARABLE!, will be held at Lincoln University on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 June, 2021. The conference programme comprises of three indoor sessions, based on FAR’s three research themes, a half day field trip and conference dinner. Session titles are:
- Future-proofing arable production
- Responsible arable production
- Maximising arable profitability
Organiser Anna Heslop says that while the Covid situation has restricted access to international speakers, there will be no shortage of interesting and thought provoking presentations.
“Our keynote speakers include Dr Harry Clark, Director of the New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre (NZAGRC) and we will have a presentation on slug management, via a live link, from Rory McDonell at Oregon State University. The early results of a project looking into creating biomaterials from cereal straw will be a highlight of session three. “To make sure we’re keeping it real, we’ll conclude each session with a farmer panel, highlighting real life on-farm problems and research based solutions.
