  • Covid 19 Traffic Light System

COVID-19 traffic light system

Img 20211124 094808

The introduction of the COVID-19 'traffic light' system, means changes to the way people can access FAR buildings, research sites and events.

Providing a safe environment for our team members, levy payers, contractors and stakeholders is our highest priority. With the new traffic light framework in place, access to all FAR buildings, research sites and events will be limited to those who are able to show their valid My Vaccine Pass.

FAR staff will be on site and at events to verify passes using the NZ Pass Verifier App. No identifiable information about the user of the device or the pass is retained by the app or by FAR.

We will continue to make information available online or via publications and, when required, conduct meetings via telephone or video calls to ensure that all growers have access to industry information.

We appreciate your support and understanding on this matter.

Want to talk to someone at FAR about it? Contact us here.

Need a vaccine pass? It’s quick and easy, just click here and follow the instructions.

Cereals Update 230 Winter wheat cultivar mixtures under irrigated and dryland conditions in Mid Canterbury

Planting a crop consisting of multiple cereal cultivars (cultivar mixtures) enhances genetic diversity, which can improve both seasonal and long-term agronomic performance and slow or reduce disease spread. To assess the viability of this approach for feed wheat production under current commercial conditions in New Zealand, FAR conducted a series of field trials in Chertsey, Mid Canterbury, between 2021 and 2024.
