34516 FAR FVAI conference logo date-025Around 350 people have registerd to attend over the two days of FAR's 2015 conference, Future Visions for the Arable Industry, in Ashburton later in July.

Organiser Anna Heslop says support from key sponsor AGMARDT, along with Gold and Silver sponsors has allowed FAR to bring in overseas speakers to join those from FAR, CRIs, universities and of course, growers.

“We are thrilled with the support we have received from our growers, industry and of course our sponsors. There is something for every arable farmer at this conference. We have four sessions focusing on Cereals, Farm systems, Seeds and Potatoes, as well as a Field Trip afternoon and a conference dinner. Between them, these sessions will cover a range of grain, seed and forage crops, issues around water, nutrient and agrichemical management, and also some broader issues facing the industry such as the development of a national biosecurity strategy."
