FAR Director of Research and Extension, Nick Poole, says FAR is frequently asked to comment on or discuss, soil and other management practices for our sector.
"In order to continue such discussions from a position of strength and to inform our research in this important area, we require up to date information, and have recently sent out a survey to over 1200 of our growers all over New Zealand.
"The survey has gone out electronically, but follows the same format as previous questionnaires on the subject in 2006 and 2011. The results of this survey will provide us with updated information and trends around crop sequences and soil management, which will in turn, allow us to continue to provide informed commentary on things such as existing good management practice and the importance of retaining management options."
