Join us for this year’s September spring field walks. This year the focus of these field walks will be planning for a dry year due to the predicted El Nino system. Topics covered include; Nitrogen use efficiency in dry seasons, how to use potentially mineralisable nitrogen, aphids cereal diseases, and irrigation.
Optional surface water nitrate testing
If you want to bring a pottle/jar of surface or well water (from well, streams, drain etc) then it could be tested for nitrate. This is done by a portable Hydro metrics GW50 Optical Nitrate Sensor and FAR will not be collecting the data it is just for your own use.
