Feed wheat (300,000 T), Feed Barley, (300,000T), Milling Wheat (88,000 T) and Malting Barley (55,000 T) continue to provide the basis of a typical arable crop rotation in New Zealand. The long grain filling period over the summer gives New Zealand a unique advantage in terms of yield for cereals and our growers are world class, getting the best from best practice crop agronomy keeping a green canopy longer, efficient use of water and nutrients and access to some of the best genetic material available from New Zealand and overseas.
